Nia simultaneously integrates the body, mind, emotions and spirit using physical activity—the dance—that is fun, easy to learn and effective!  Fusion fitness before fusion fitness was an exercise buzz word, Nia blends nine movement forms from the martial arts, dance arts and healing arts.

Nia is done barefoot to music and delivers cardiovascular and whole-body conditioning. Because Nia is self-guided and promotes creating a loving relationship with the body, it is adaptable and safe for people of all ages and fitness levels.  Nia uses The Body’s Way—the innate intelligence of the body—to ensure safety and comfort while exploring new ways of moving and being with your body. Students modify their movements, speed, intensity and range of motion to suit their body’s unique needs.

A Nia class is 60 minutes of movement that not only enhances endurance, strength, flexibility and balance, it also promotes mental well-being and Dynamic Ease.  Nia expresses the Joy of Movement.  Take a Nia class and you will feel recharged, rejuvenated, and alive!
